Fall Table Runner

I am a procrastinator. I finished this the day before Thanksgiving, now I need to make a Christmas one ;o)

I used fat quarters cut in srtips and an old sheet for the backing. I quilted it by doing slightly squiggly lines instead of traditional straight ones. When I make my Christmas one I might try a tutorial.....we'll see.

I didn't use any batting I figured why bother when its only going to be up 1 time a year and I like how thin and light it is. The binding is self binding that I made up I'm sure there is a better way to do it but I was making it all up as I went! I think it turned out really good despite of of my lack-of-know-how.

Recycled T-shirt

I bought the lil Boo hoodie pattern  a while ago when there was a good sale and just barely made it! I really liked it a lot! The only thing I wish was that it came in bigger sizes it only goes up to a 7, B is currently in a 8 but very skinny so I just lengthened it in the sleeves/shirt and added an extra band at the bottom.

I added some green thread details to different parts of the shirt, I felt like it needed a little more pop.

I also unpicked the label and resewed it on the pocket so it looks like a store bought shirt.

I then added a tight zigzag on the letters in the green thread as well, I think it brings the whole look together. I also did a decorative stitch on the arm seams, you can see it but its not as thick as the zigzags :0)

I did not add the hood since I wanted a shirt and I knew B wouldn't like it. I just added a bit to the neck line so it wasn't too low.

Baby boy gown

My friend had a baby recently so I made my favorite go-to gift, a baby gown.

I used my favorite Kwik Sew pattern 3090 which I have used so many time I have it memorized (0:

I used a double needle along the neckline, I've never done that before and I like the results!

My serging skills are improving!!!
