Sewing for boys

I recently bought sewing for boys.

I read some not so great reviews about it not having very original patterns, which influenced me in taking a while to buy it, however having gone through it several times I am excited to try a few of the projects!

I haven't used it much but I did make this hat for B.

The instructions were adequate but if you are used to the way blogs do them with every step pictured then you might be surprised at the lack of them. If you are a visual person and need pictures for every step then this might not be the book for you. 

I was happy with the way my hat turned out and I am excited to make more stuff from the book!

Heart pillows, please!

My bed is finally done! (mostly)

I made the floral pillowcase's from HUGE ones i found at Walmart and the extra fabric I used to make an oblong pillow. The Grey Pillows I made from scratch and I love! I need to buy better pillows so they are more fluffy and then it will be perfect!

 I found a site that has free Japanese patterns on it! and they have some boy options too, just click on the picture to go! I'm not a good enough sewer yet to do some of them but if you are used to sewing and know how clothes fit together then I hear Japanese patterns are great!



 
 Here is a money cuff from lemony squeeze home I really love this my 7 year old is just big enough to need it, especially for popcorn and pickle day!

 With Summer well on its way and school almost over I will posting Sew Boy only once a month, but hopefully I will have more projects to share. I've been in a funk lately with not wanting to do anything I sure hope I come out of it soon!
