.64 Jammies

Remember coupon commotion? Well Joanns snuggle flannel was on sale for $1.99 a yard! I couldn't pass up the opportunity to make some Jammie bottoms for my kiddos!

Out of 2 yards of fabric I got (with very careful placing) 1 pair of pants and 2 pairs of shorts! Thats roughly .64 each!
Run down: I made B and C pants/shorts and I made P 3 pairs of shorts.

I re-purposed my elastic so that was free!
I also was able to use 25% off coupon my entire purchase as well so they were actually cheaper than .64 cents, you can't buy them cheaper or cuter!

Its projects like this that really make me appreciate my serger! I used my 4 thread safety stitch and had two serged up in 15 minutes, minus the hemming and casing.

Crayon & Notebook holder

B's best friend had a birthday this past Saturday. They are best friends, he calls her his "girl friend" but in reality he has no idea what that phrase means ;o)

He said she would like drawing stuff because "shes the best draw-er mom". He is usually right when he picks a gift he thinks his friends will like and when I listen they love it, when I don't I realize he is right.
Example: One time I took B to the store (he was 4) so he could pick a present for his cousin Hannah. Out of everything in the store he picked a striped rainbowish shirt and ruffled skirt he saw and insisted she would love it. Well even though I seriously had my doubts we gave her the gift.... she loved it, infact she wore it all the time!

I made this but I wasn't impressed with the tutorial the dimensions weren't the best and it was very hard to find a note book that fit! If I had been smart I would have a bought a book then made it, learn from my mistakes (o:

Joanns is having a their coupon commotion this week. Basically you can use a coupon for every regular priced item that you buy, normally you can only use one per transaction. Great time to stock up on those items that rarely go on sale like elastic, great fabric or thread!

Here are some coupons you can print (click on the printable ones and print the image that comes up) hope they work for you!
Also if you have a hobby Lobby or Michael's nearby Joanns accepts their coupons as well!
