Love T-Shirts

C's pattern is one I made for B 2 years ago and it is still my favorite I have ever used, the fit is good for a large size 5 or a skinny fit 6-7. B's is the one I made during this tutorial.

C and his lover boy shirt. I got this shirt for .50 cents at Walmart but it was a X-large in boys so i re-sized it.

B calls this his Love shirt. This was definitely my most advanced freezer paper stencil I have ever done but I like the way it turned out.

Table Runners

I made table runners for the recent holidays that we had.
My kids like to have a slightly decorated house but I really enjoy changing them too!

Very simple and not too flashy.

Just sew two pieces of fabric together, right side facing in sew leaving a space to turn right side out, then top stitch right on the edge and if you have an applique you can sew it on top. Easy Peasy and fun too!

Do you want to make your own? Check out the tutorial here:

Monster Doll

C wanted a doll all his own and I wanted time to finish my table runners so I gave him a permanent marker and a small piece of fabric and let him at it.
I got my much needed time alone while he was stuffing it.... it took him a while :0)

Knee Pads

My Boys are Extra hard on pants these days so I tried Dana's Knee pad tutorial to make patches for their pants.

Even on my almost 7 year-old they look good and I get compliments on them quite often.

I did find I had unpick the side of the leg and sew it back together, much easier than trying to fiddle with it on my machine!

I am making a board of all the features I have had on Sew Boy on Pinterest go here if you would like easier access to everything I have found. I'm still adding them but there is a lot on there!

Car Mat Box Style

P and C are Lightening McQueen's biggest fans.
They love him, talk about him nonstop and watch Cars #1 and #2 every chance they get.
This is my favorite project to do with my boys its cheap and fast. Plus my kids really don't play with anything longer than about an hour before they are tired of it, this way I don't care if they never play with it again and I can throw it away!

I don't have atutorial but the picture is pretty self explanatory, just draw a road and glue various bits of paper or empty toilet rolls for tunnels, glue/tape and go!

Complete with bridge with a crocodile (my drawing is great isn't it?) and if they drive off the road when the bridge is up they have to go the Hospital.

Garages, tunnels or hospitals for the cars zip in and out of.

Go McQueen, GO!
Of course at our house he ALWAYS wins , because like C says "See that number mom? It is 95 that means hes FAST!"
